Republican JP Takes Seat

On Monday, January 3rd, at 8:20am, Justice Everett McGuire, was sworn into the County JP seat for District 6. Everett is the first Republican JP to be elected in Sharp County since the mid-eighties. Therefore, it is a major victory for the local Republican Party, to seat a Republican JP. A Quorum Court meeting was held immediately following the swearing-in. Justice McGuire was invited into the good old boys club, but respectfully declined. The Sharp County Republican Committee could not be happier for Justice McGuire.
